Save Gas The Easy Way

Save Gas the Easy Way

The high gasoline cost seems to be a challenge to car owners today. For them to cope with the unfortunate situation they must know how to control their fuel consumption and minimize travel expenses. The first question should be What are the factors that affect gas mileage? Paying attention to what affects gas mileage is the primary key to save on gas. Among the various factors that drivers must carefully consider in terms of fuel mileage are the condition of his vehicle’s parts his driving habits the weight of the cargo he loads inside his vehicle and the drag and wind resistance. How? Well the most effective and significant move to save gasoline is to maintain the vehicles nearperfect condition. A poorlymaintained vehicle cannot run as efficiently as one that has been maintained regularly. A vehicle that can barely run consumes more fuel to give it the push it needs.

Car owners must refer to their cars warranty instructions to know proper maintenance although they can also follow some general car care tips from various sources. There are a number of car care tips that entail the use of gas savers for best fuel economy. Using the right car parts and replacing them when needed helps promote fuel efficiency as well as increases horsepower. The air filter fuel filter oxygen sensor spark plug and the exhaust system components are among the few car parts that directly affect gas mileage.

There are also maintenance car care tips that do not entail spending money and are easy to do. One is to keep the tires properly inflated. Improperly inflated tires guzzle up more fuel. Again car owners can refer to the manufacturers manual to know the right tire pressure. The cargo in the vehicle must also be minimized. Why? The vehicle consumes more energy when it is heavily loaded. Thus unnecessary baggage must be removed.

Driving habits such as constant breaking grinding the accelerator pedal and overspeeding must also be avoided to save gas. It is always recommended that drivers plan their way ahead to prevent driving over the limit. Positive driving habits are definitely a crucial part of practical energy saving practices. The truth is much of the fuelsaving practices greatly rely on car drivers. And the greatest reward they can get apart from saving money is safety as they hit the road.

Safety In Car

Safety In Car

For some reason most of us dont look too closely at the Safety in car car looks how good is it to drive is it actually the car we can afford are issues which are uppermost.

Nothing wrong with that it is no good buying a two seater sports car when you need room for a wife/husband two kids and an Elkhound.

In previous articles we have looked at things to look into when buying your first car or what safety for car is needed here we are looking at safety in car.

What do I mean by safety in car? Let us take the driver first to be safe you need to feel comfortable if you start to suffer from seat induced aches and pains your driving skill may well suffer. So be comfy.

You must have a drivers airbag in the steering wheel a side airbag is even better if you have that too. What about the basic controls of accelerator and brake? It is no good if every time you move your foot from accelerator to brake pedal your foot/shoe catches the side of the brake pedal that second delay will mean you are no longer having safety in car.

I cannot emphasize enough you must wear a seat belt and one day you might thank me for nagging. Whilst you are putting it on make sure your passengers have remembered too!

Back to safety in car for passengers air bags to the front for front passengers is essential with side ones being there too is better still same as for driver really. Rear passengers would benefit enormously from side airbags too.

Children and babies need as much protection as possible safety in car is heavily compromised by illfitting seat harnesses incorrectly fitted child and booster seats. It really is not difficult to get it right but to get it wrong could be lifetime regret. I cannot say enough if in doubt take advice it is freely given from many sources the internet being one.

So we have everyone fitted into the car correctly is everything complete? Safety in car can be ruined by ignoring the dog! If you have an estate car put Beethoven in a cage they become much safer and your passengers/you will avoid a hurtling ton of destruction horrid thought I know but it happens with dire consequences.

If the dog is to travel in a regular car go and buy the appropriate safety harness again in the event of an accident you really really do want to know where the dog is going to end up. Safety in car demands your respect.

The car itself when driving to enhance your safety in car do not have distractions the controls are probably laid out quite well but if you add a mobile a sat nav they become 2 more things to possibly think about. Try to avoid drinking I dont mean alcohol I assume you wouldnt drink and drive but cans of coke do spill can take your eyes at a critical moment you know what I mean.

Safety in car. Enough to think about hope it helps and please please please wear your seat belt.
